Apotheosis
The apotheosis of any story is a hero's god like moment. In this moment they seen to be beyond the laws of human nature. Rama's apotheosis comes toward the end of his battle with Ravana. Ravana has exhausted his supply of weapons and in "desperation Ravana" begins hurling "staves, cast-iron balls, heavy rocks, and oddments he could lay his hands on" (159). Throughout all this Rama remains perfectly calm and "none of them touched Rama, but glanced off and fell ineffectually" (159). In this moment Rama appears untouchable. He seems beyond his human form. Rama appears all powerful and god like.
